Healthy gluten-free porridge with berries

You can’t beat a comforting bowl of hot porridge on a chilly winter morning. Our easy version is gluten-free and low in calories too.

Ingredients

  • 40g gluten-free porridge oats
  • 250ml skimmed milk
  • 80g fresh or frozen mixed berries, defrosted if frozen, to serve

Method

  1. Put the porridge oats and milk into a pan and simmer gently for 5-6 min, stirring occasionally until the mixture becomes thick and creamy.  Alternatively, ut the porridge oats into a bowl and pour over the milk. Microwave on high for 3 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and let the mixture stand for 1 min. Top with the mixed berries and serve.
