Got a glut of redcurrants on your hands? Use them up in these delicious redcurrant recipes.

Redcurrants are usually season from early July until late August. They’re a popular choice with gardeners and you’ll also often find them at pick-your-own farms (often along with whitecurrants and blackcurrants). Get hold of a punnet or two, then take your pick from one of our tried-and-tested redcurrant recipes.

Redcurrants’ scarlet hue and tart flavour makes them a great choice for preserves and compotes. Combine them with other ripe berries to make a classic summer pudding or try them in a refreshing sorbet or semifreddo with iced berries and white chocolate sauce. Which dish will you make first?
