14 sweet and savoury pancake recipes for every occasion
As much as I enjoy whipping out my frying pan on Shrove Tuesday, to make a batch of got-to-be classic crepes, I’m a firm believer that pancakes should be a year-round staple. Slicing into one on a Saturday morning, spread with a glorious dollop of peanut butter, is one of life’s simple pleasures.
But it’s not just my obsession with brunch that warrants an at-least-weekly desire for pancakes. The duck and hoisin-filled rice variety are firmly part of Chinese cuisine and the perfect Friday night takeaway. Not to mention my Indian street-food favourite, the dosa. Or, the fact that an integral part of one of my favourite French desserts, crepes suzette, is the crepes.
There really is a pancake for every meal, every occasion and everyone. The real question is, which one’s for you? Have a scroll through my top 14 delicious. recipes to decide for yourself…
