Air fryer halloumi with spiced honey glaze
- Published: 9 May 23
- Updated: 2 May 24
A snack that’s tough to beat, this crisp, chewy air fryer halloumi is livened up with a subtly spiced honey for a sweet-meets-salty explosion of flavour. Great as part of a selection of mezze dishes or on its own with a bit of bread. Keeping the cheese in larger pieces ensures they don’t dry out and turn rubbery.

- 1 tsp olive oil
For the dressing (optional)
- 2 tbsp runny honey
- 1 tsp nigella seeds
- Pinch chilli flakes
- Finely grated zest ½ lemon
Method
- Pat the halloumi dry, then coat with the oil. Heat your air fryer to 180°C, then put the halloumi in it. Cook for 8 minutes, turning halfway.
- Meanwhile, if you’re making the dressing, combine all the ingredients and when the halloumi is cooked, drizzle half the dressing over the pieces and return to the air fryer for 1 minute, then serve drizzled with the remaining dressing.
