Broad beans are in season in the UK from around the end of June all the way through to September. If you’ve grown your own this year, you may well have a glut on your hands. Use them up in classic broad bean risotto, make a healthy summer veg soup, or char them on the barbecue and drizzle with soy for an easy side dish.
You can keep a supply of frozen broad beans in your freezer, too, if you need your fix over winter.
